FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions.

Q. When did the Friends of Hanworth Park house (FoHPH) Form?

A. The first meeting of local residents and interested stakeholders convened at a local public house around Autumn 2017.

Within a few weeks the first committee meeting was organised, to officially form a group that would work alongside the owner of Hanworth Park House though independently of the owner. A constitution was soon drafted with the committee officially announced.

Q. How haS Coronavirus - ‘Covid-19’ impacted FoHPH plans and the proposed project to date?

A. Unfortunately ‘Covid-19’ has had some impact on the committees’ plans for 2020, due to not being able to open the house up for our annual public ‘Open Day’ events, and our ‘Summer Classic Car’ show at Hanworth Park House as per previous years.

The committee members are still holding their monthly meetings, though now ‘virtually’ with video conferencing software, instead of in person, in accordance with Government guidance.

As for the proposed plans for Hanworth Park House, with the project still being at a discussion stage with all interested stakeholders; FoHPH, the owner and local authority, ‘Covid-19’ has had little impact on the work taking place behind the scenes.

Further communications shall follow upon ‘Covid-19’ restrictions being lifted and/or proposed project plans progressing to a public consultation stage.

Q. How can someone join the Fohph committee, or help out/volunteer/Donate to FoHPH?

A. The committee are always looking for new committee members or volunteers. You can show an interest by contacting the committee via our Contact Us form or Volunteer link - Volunteer for FoHPH, whilst also being able to donate financially to ‘FoHPH’ - Donate.

(Please note all donations via this page are solely for the continued running of the committee group, not for the house project).

Q. HOw can i find out more about Hanworth park house and its history?

A. At present, most of the known history surrounding Hanworth Park House and the associated Airpark, can be found here - HPH History.

Over time we do hope to have a dedicated website for all the history surrounding the House and Airpark, which we hope to link up with the proposed Museum planned within a refurbished Hanworth Park House.

Q. Where can I find out more about the proposed project to refurbish Hanworth PArk house?

A. The Friends of Hanworth Park House are independent from the developer.

The owner of the house; Gary Cottle and his company AGC, do have a dedicated website for the House and the proposed refurbishment project, which can be found here - Hanworth Park House Refurbishment proposals.

Q. Does FOHPH have or use social media to promote the project and their events?

A. Yes, over the years that FoHPH formed and grown, we have welcomed the use of social media platforms to help us gather support for the House, public awareness for our cause and events held the House, whilst also using these platforms to stay in touch with our supporters and the local community to date.

Q. What should I do if there is anti-social behaviour around Hanworth Park House or the Airpark?

A. Like all public spaces, unfortunately they can attract anti-social behaviour. The house does have 24/7 onsite security.

In the event that you witness anti-social behaviour taking place, either around the perimeter of the house or the Airpark itself, we would advise contacting the local police authority, either on 101 or local constabulary - Feltham Police Station on 020 8577 1212.

Q. What happens to Fohph if the proposed project does not Go ahead?

A. As the majority of the committee members for FoHPH are local residents, we would hope that their current efforts and involvement within the local community and alternative projects would continue for the greater good of the local community within Feltham, Hanworth and Bedfont towns.
