      <image:title>Future of HPH - Hanworth Park Run</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2019 the Friends of Hanworth Park House helped support a new Hanworth parkrun, which currently starts immediately outside the house. Through community fares and car shows, we have also revived the spirit of some the historical events that were once part of the areas history, such as the Hanworth Carnival. We hope to establish a series of culture events either within the house and/or surrounding grounds, for example, outdoor film events, classic car events in conjunction with the Aston Martin Collectors group and bringing back the Hanworth Classic car show. Further updates on the future of Hanworth Park House will be updated on this website while progress is made between all stakeholders.</image:caption>

<image:title>HPH History - From Hotel to Care Home</image:title>
<image:caption>In 1956, the hotel was then converted to be used as a local nursing home through to 1992. At that point the Council, now controlled by the London Borough of Hounslow closed the nursing home, and sold the house off for use as a hotel and conference centre. Unfortunately, even though the hotel plans were approved the refurbishment never materialised, and the building has had several owners and proposed developments until the bought by the current owner Gary Cottle in December 2014.</image:caption>

      <image:title>HPH History - 1940s and 1950s</image:title>
<image:caption>In the 1940s, the old aircraft hangers around Hanworth Park House were bought by David Brown who produced Aston Martin’s now iconic sports cars at the site. This included the racing team who won Le Mans. Aston Martin vacated the airpark in the early 1960s relocating to Newport Pagnell. During the early 1950s, the house was used as a Hotel—’Hanworth Park Hotel’, before being sold on to what was then Middlesex County Council 1992.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Us - Key Stakeholders.</image:title>
<image:caption>The Friends of Hanworth Park House are committed to working closely with the Council, the developer, and other key stakeholders such as Historic England to bring this about, and ensure the maximum social and environmental benefits from any scheme—which will also include the provision of much needed housing. Over the past year or more, the Friends of Hanworth Park House (FoHPH) have been developing a detailed proposal that aims to not only create a vibrant community hub, but also to act as a catalyst for the regeneration of this part of Hounslow Borough and beyond. The restoration of Hanworth Park House has the potential to rejuvenate the landscape of Hanworth Air Park, and help connect the wider communities of Hanworth and Feltham. We would like to thank the thousands of supporters since 2017, who include community groups, businesses, charities, schools, central government, local councils, TV, radio and many more. Hanworth Park House is a special building, with unique memories and stories of a bygone age. The commitment shown by so many people to work for its restoration is part of a new chapter in its history—one we hope will be as special and important for our generation as it was in the past for those before.</image:caption>

There is really no substitute for a “sense of place” that is evoked when standing in a building or at a site where highly significant events took place. This is why it is so important to save Hanworth Park House for the nation.”</image:caption>

For me Hanworth Park House is an important reminder in a very important chapter of Aston Martin history. Our company built cars in Victoria Road, Feltham from 1927 before switching over to aircraft parts during WW2. Following the war a bigger factory was needed to house both Aston and Lagonda, another local car maker bought by Industrialist David Brown and Hanworth Park was the perfect new home for us. When I first visited the house and grounds I was struck by the imposing grandeur of the house and recognised it from period press photos of our cars parked in front of it. What really hit me was the close proximity of ‘our’ workshops and building to the house itself. The HPH team and I found some of the remains of these buildings and it really brought home to me the important role that this site played in our history. I really hope that we get to see the house restored and that we may be able to tell our part of the story within the planned museum area.”</image:caption>
